Explanation & Hint:
Two distributions that are made by, or are clones of, Red Hat are:
- Fedora – Fedora is a community-supported distribution that is sponsored by Red Hat. It serves as a testing ground for new technologies that may eventually be incorporated into Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- CentOS – CentOS (Community ENTerprise Operating System) was a clone of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, built from its source code with the aim of providing a free enterprise class computing platform that has high compatibility with RHEL. Note that as of December 2021, CentOS Linux is shifting focus to CentOS Stream, which will be a rolling preview of what’s next in RHEL.
